TRIANGL SWIMWEAR TILLY SUNBURST BIKINI REVIEW

14:31

Hey there!

So i'm going to do a review on one of the MOST popular must-have items this summer: Triangl Swimwear! Anyone who already had their hands on the Triangl bikinis before summer were raving about them on social media. So of course, I had to see what the hype was about, right? (not using that as an excuse, I promise) Triangl are an Australian brand so I was scared incase I couldn't get my hands on any but thankfully I did as they ship to the UK!

Apart from the fact that all the bikinis they design and create look absolutely gorgeous on their models, the intriguing fact about these bikinis is that they are made of neoprene. Neoprene is the material used for wetsuits which makes them like no other bikini! This also made it even more tempting to buy one.. so that's exactly what I did.

*Trumpets* Here is my bikini! I bought the Tilly Sunburst in black mesh top and orange bottoms. This one got my attention the most because I could mix & match the top and I just love the pop of colour on the bottoms! It also comes with a lovely neoprene bag which is great for storing the bikini.

I bought the bikini from the Triangl Website (they also do really cute underwear too, jussayin) I paid about £60 in total including postage which was about £12 I think. I calculated this out on a currency converter website as they show the price in dollars on the Triangl website. One of the things that I really wanted to know was: Do they charge customs when they arrive at your door? I was wondering this because the package was being sent the whole way from Hong Kong! The answer is no they didn't - thank goodness.
In the package, once you tear it open with excitement, the bikini comes nicely packaged in transparent plastic sleeves with the Triangl logo on it. It also comes with instructions on how to keep your bikini looking fab e.g. hand wash and store it flat.

Sizing! This was what I was most worried about! I also got questions on my Youtube haul video (where I showed my bikini) asking what sizes I was so people could compare what size they should order. I am a size 8 on top (28DD) and a size 10 on bottoms (W28 in Topshop jeans)
So first of all, the top! I bought the size small which fits me perfectly around the band that goes around my back. There was a little space in the cup size but definitely not too little! The straps where way too long so I had to adjust them myself (this shouldn't be a problem anymore because I think they have made all their straps adjustable now) I adjusted them by cutting off the straps at the back, cutting about an inch and a half off the straps and sewing them back on where they were originally sewed on! Tightening the straps also lifted up the cup to fit me perfect!
Bottoms! I bought the bottoms in a size medium. I would usually go for a medium but the bikini description says to 'size up' on the bottoms (probably because the neoprene material does not stretch) This confused me because I was thinking that I may have to order a large. I just went with my gut instinct and bought the medium. The medium fits me well, more small than big in my case, but still a very good fit! I think large would have been too big. So I pretty much predicted my sizing bang on! I also think you have to go with your gut instinct because you know your body the most. Another thing incase you are still unsure on what sizes to order your bikini in, the Triangl website have a live chat where you can talk to them anytime if you need help which is suuuuper useful.

Overall I love this bikini and I will definitely buy more next year when summer arrives. The bikini feels great on and really does give you a boost on confidence whether you are in the swimming pool, sunbathing or frolicking in the sea! I think it is worth the money buying a really good bikini, that's not flimsy, that gives you confidence and that will last longer.. am I right?

Anyway, I hope this helped some of you when you are figuring out what bikini to purchase!

Hope x
